On May 4, 5 and 6, 2017, McGill University will host the "Journées internationales de la culture scientifique - Science and You" in Montreal. This international event, which is organized by ACFAS, is the opportunity for stakeholders in the scientific, cultural, and business community to meet with public decision-makers and people who are passionate about science.
Throughout the activities held during these 3 days, different leading figures will invite the participants to exchange, discuss, learn, acquire new skills, and to think about the various uses of digital technologies for the dissemination of scientific knowledge, the creation of scientific communities and access to knowledge for people living in remote regions.

As a proud supporter of STEAM, the Canada Science and Technology Museums Corporation Foundation is pleased to partner with CBC/Radio-Canada, Facebook, Indspire, NSERC, Shopify, Vintage Wings, Invest Ottawa, Instagram and VLN Advanced Technologies to make these awards possible. These partners are committed to supporting Canada’s next generation of STEAM innovators as they create a better world for generations to come.
The objective of the awards is to promote the fields of science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) to the next generation of scientists and engineers. Up to seven Canadian students will be awarded $25,000 each to pursue studies in a STEAM field. Two of these awards will be given to Indigenous students.
The winners will be flown to Ottawa and recognized at the Foundations first annual National Science and Innovation Gala on May 18, 2017.
